As the year draws to an end, I cannot help but reflect on my accomplishments, challenges, and experiences. A lot can happen in a year, and I want to share a few favorite shots from this year! I have so many of them, so narrowing it down to five was a bit of a challenge for me. I’ve met so many new people and helped them each experience their own milestones and am so happy to be able to be a part of their moments. So, here it goes!
These two put a huge smile on my face, especially Wesley! They are absolutely the sweetest mom and son duo I’ve met! They are the exact reason why I love doing what I do, I like to think of myself growing with them both, and I have known Wesley his whole life! It’s a crazy concept, being a part of someone else’s life and serving them with an experience to last a lifetime, and also an experience for Wesley himself to enjoy when he’s older. Maybe not when mom is showing embarrassing baby pictures to a girlfriend, but one day!
This little girl shares a special place in my heart, my beautiful niece! This year was such a BIG year for her and her mommy and daddy! She turned two, and she had officially been adopted into our family, even though she had been adopted into our hearts long long long before! This day, we had all went to the Keystone Safari in celebration of our newest, official addition! I want to say she was smelling this flower, not eating it. We can stick with smelling, sound good? I cannot wait to watch her grow up to be such a bright, inspiring, Disney obsessed young lady taking after her incredible parents that shower her with love, affection, and Cheerios.
This young man right here is someone I admire greatly. Someone that shows perseverance throughout a troubling year. Someone that I am so thankful and happy to know. A senior at Slippery Rock High School, he unfortunately suffers from severe senioritis. I wouldn’t be surprised if he had a countdown to the day, minute, second of graduation! Until then, enjoy your last year at high school. I know right now it may not seem all that great, but it’s a time you will always look back at and slightly miss. Don’t grow up too fast, bud. Being an adult isn’t as fun as everyone makes it out to be!
These two are the absolute silliest! I loved my session with them, lots of fun spinning around, playing patty cake, and just having fun! I absolutely admire Mariah and her determination to be the absolute best she can be for her daughter, Makinley. You can already see through Makinley that she is such a strong, independent, bright young lady. I am so thankful to know you, and I hope that this next year is just as rewarding as the last!
Okay, so on a serious note, how many toddlers do you know of that are obsessed with Michael Myers and Chucky? Well, I know one and her name is Sophie. As silly as her daughter, Danielle always manages to make me chuckle and belly laugh with her love of Chinese food and Target. I always get so excited when Danielle reaches out for pictures, because I know we are about to have a great time doing them and they always turn out absolutely precious!
A senior at Mars High School, Alex is in school to be a pilot! How COOL is that?! At the time of the session Alex had about 40 hours in the cockpit! It was so much fun to hang out with him and his parents, Melissa and Chris, both as silly and embarrassing as any parent could be! I am so excited for you to follow your passion, dreams, and ambitions. I cannot wait to see what your future brings you!
I have so many more people that I am so thankful to have met, and continue to build relationships with them. For 2020, I am hoping to carry on with current clients, meet new ones, and serve the community that I am so happy to be a part of! If you are looking for getting images for 2020, and looking for a genuine photography experience, let me know. We can create something special together!
Until next time,
Catherine
